The Dexterous Dutch Striker Resumes With Club Trainnings After Recovery Of Knee Injury
By: Kenny Van Ramos
The moment all gunners fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. The free kick specialist, Robin Van Persie, will soon be joining Arsenal in its battles in English Premier League and Champions League, after a recovery from a knee injury.(haha...the same injury as i do)
__
The Dutch striker was haunted by this excruciating pain in the knee during the match where Arsenal played against Sunderland. He scored twice in this match, assisting the Gunners to clinch their triumph over Roy Keane's(Sunderland manager) side.

In the match played against Sunderland, Van Persie made it 1-0 for Arsenal in the 8th minute with a stunning goal from a free kick. This fantastic free kick goal sent everybody's jaws wide open and dumbfounded. Even Gunner's French manager, Arsene Wenger was flabbergasted by Van Persie's formidable left foot effort.

When Sunderland manage to equalise the game with a 2-2 score, Van persie made it 3-2 for Arsenal with an unexpected goal in the 80th minute, 10 minutes before the whistle sounds for the end of the match. His perserverence earned Arsenal 3 points in the English Premier League.

Van Persie's agility, dexterity in dribblings and his flair in free kicks, fascinate Wenger to give him the number 11 jersey. The number 11 was used to be worn by Arsenal's prolific striker, Sylvian Wiltord. Ever since his transfer to Lyon, Robin Van Persie inherited the number 11 jersey.
__
In the previous season, Bayern Munich, requested Arsenal for Van Persie's transfer over to the German side. Wenger rejected the bid as he feel that the gunners cannot lose a young talent like Robin Van Persie.
__
Fighting for the Netherlands National Team, Van Persie is also in charge of all the free kicks the Dutch national team obtained. The Netherlands national team includes many other talents like Arjen Robben, Rafael Van der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder,Ruud Van Nistelrooy,Dirk Kuyt,Phillip Cocu,Ryan Babel. However, these talents cannot compete with Van Persie when it comes to scoring from free kicks.

Robin Van Persie was not even a first team player in his previous and mediocre club, Feyenoord Rotterdam. Arsene Wenger discovered this youngster 5 years ago and bid for his transfer to Arsenal. At Highbury, Van Persie was provided with more chances to prove his dexterity on the football pitch. His embedded adroitness at Higbury earned the worship of many fans over the world(including the writer...me!).

With these, let us hope that this talismanic Dutch striker can take over the duties of Dennis Bergkamp, the previous mastery Dutch striker of Arsenal, and secure Arsenal with endless victories. I am very sure that his prescence at the Emirates stadium will promote Arsenal as one of the world's most prestigious club.
